VitiligoShop was founded in 2019 by someone who lived with vitiligo — not a corporation, not a marketing team. We exist to bring together proven products, honest guidance, and people who understand what you're going through.
A personal journey that became a mission
Peter O. Founder & CEO
In 2016, I was diagnosed with vitiligo. Patches appeared on my fingers, knees, and shins — and the dermatologist's words were as bleak as the prognosis felt: "There's not much you can do." I refused to accept that.
I spent two years researching, experimenting, and rebuilding my lifestyle — reducing stress, improving nutrition, exercising more. By late 2018, I had stopped the progression and started to see real repigmentation through UVB phototherapy and time spent in the sun in Mallorca.
What struck me during those years wasn't just the lack of effective treatments — it was the lack of a trustworthy place to find them. Information was scattered, products were untested, and the community felt isolated. I knew I could change that.
In February 2019, I launched VitiligoShop — not as a business opportunity, but as the resource I wished had existed when I needed it most. Today, we serve over 5,000 customers across 7 countries, and every product we carry has been chosen for one reason: it works.

A specialist in skin diseases and dermatovenereology based in Nitra. He advises us on our phototherapy product line and guides customers through treatment protocols — the same approach that helped stop Peter's own vitiligo progression.
