How long does vitiligo treatment take?
The length of vitiligo treatment varies and depends mainly on the extent and location of the depigmented area. The face repigments the fastest and the fingers the slowest. It also depends on how quickly vitiligo is treated. Fresh spots can be repigmented within a few rays of a UVB lamp. Treatment of large areas takes up to a year, with a break from UVB phototherapy in the summer so that individual radiations (sun and UVB) are not combined.
